KCCA FC head coach Mike Mutebi says they have no pressure ahead of their game against Vipers SC.
KCCA take a short trip to face Vipers on Wednesday 17th March at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende in their last game of the first round.
Both side seek to bounce back to winning ways with the Kasasiro Boys drawing with Police FC 1-1 and Vipers lost 2-1 to URA FC in their last games.
KCCA face a Vipers side that has not lost any game at home so far this season.
Speaking at a Press conference ahead of the game, Mutebi says they have no pressure when they face the Venoms.
“We have no pressure, it is like any other game.
“We shall go there and play our way and try to win the game, we are not scared at all.”
However, Mutebi admits that they (Vipers) are a tough side but his team is also prepared.
“We are prepared as usual against a very tough opponent.
“We have enough in our armoury to go and pick a good result against a very strong team.
“We are not about history, there is nothing tough we have to go play, attack and try to score goals.”
The Gaffer also says they are not worried about their opponents before adding that the league is a marathon.
“We cannot get worried about our opposition, we shall go there and try to win the match.
“We are still in a marathon, we will pick good results there and wait for the second round to resume and try to match on.
The Kasasiro boys will be welcoming back their players that featured in the recent AFCON U20 tournament in Mauritania.
On this Mutebi was quick to say;
“The return of the boys from AFCON U20 has strengthened the team but depending on the training, we shall select our best team available.
“The players available are the ones that are going to represent us.”
KCCA currently sit fourth on the log with 27 points three points adrift of Vipers who dropped to third after Express winning their game on Tuesday against Police FC 1-0 at Lugogo.
