Kyetume FC 0-1 MYDA FC
FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru
MYDA FC registered their first victory of the season as they beat Kyetume FC 1-0 on Thursday.
The Malaba based side who have struggled all season and arrived at the venue just a few minutes to kick-off, somehow proved resilient in the opening exchanges before striking through Paul Musamali with 19 minutes to play.
The former KCCA FC defender fired in from just outside the box after Amos Kirya’s goal-bound effort was charged down.
With the game played in the scorching sun as it was a lunch-time kick-off, it saw two water breaks, one coming in either half.
Kyetume who once again started with veteran striker Robert Sentongo could not get past MYDA shot stopper Isaac Osikol who pulled off a string of decent saves and deservedly took home the man of the match accolade in the end.
Victory sees MYDA climb off the foot of the table with six points, one ahead of Kitara FC who are away to Busoga United FC later on the day. For Kyetume, they stay in 13th spot with 12 points from 15 games.
