Ssozi Double Guides Busoga United Past Kitara

Busoga United 2-1 Kitara FC
Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru
March 18th/ 2021

Shaka Ssozi scored twice for Busoga United as they came from behind to overcome Kitara FC at the Fufa Technical Centre in Njeru on Thursday.

The forward scored in both halves to ensure that his side earned a well deserved victory.

Peter Oloro netted Kitara’s only goal of the game, temporary putting them ahead.

It was yet another contest that saw Kitara strike early but go on to lose the game.

With just five minutes on the clock, Oloro collected from Edson Agondeze and made no mistake as he slotted home past the hapless Omedwa Rogers.

However, the home side responded on 25 minutes with Shaka heading in Franco Onen’s cross.

The second came 10 minutes after the break as Shaka raced onto an Ismail Mugulusi through-ball to slot in past the brilliant Emmanuel Opio.

Busoga had chances to score more but Isaac Wagoima failed to convert in a one-on-one situation, George Kasonko shot wide from inside the area, Ismail Mugulusi twice failed to beat Opio and Shaka could not get on the end of two decent crosses.

Kitara rarely threatened after falling behind and they banked on set plays to try and get themselves back into the contest, situations that never materialised in the end.

The Victory sees Busoga climb out of the relegation zone, moving to the 14th place with 13 points.

After MYDA FC beat Kyetume FC in the other day’s game, Kitara slip back to bottom of the pile with 5 points from 15 games.
