Betway Kobs will welcome back Brian Odongo from a layoff when they entertain neighbours Toyota Buffaloes on Matchday three of the Nile Specia Stout Rugby Premier League.

Odongo managed just one appearance last season, against Impis, due to injuries.

However, Kobs will be without Rugby Sevens players Pius Ogena, Adrian Kasito, Joseph Aredo and Ian Munyani.

Aredo was outstanding last time out, scoring a try and adding five conversions as the side obliterated Warriors to claim the Mileke Shield.

Ogena on the other hand, has been the league’s most outstanding player so far, having collected six tries in the two games to lead the scoring chats.

Betway Kobs, top of the table with 10 points thanks to bonus point victories against Rhinos and Warriors, will be seeking to extend their 100% start.

Buffaloes sit sixth with four points from two games – They beat Rams 15-03 in the league opener before falling to Heathens 39-3.

Elsewhere, third-placed Pirates return at Kings Park where they beat Mongers 36-08 on Matchday two. They face Impis.

Pirates have made a couple of changes to their squad but will notably welcome back Muhammed Haruna.

They will be without Solomon Okia, Desire Ayera and Isaac Massa.

Pirates coach bobby Musinguzi said: “We are blessed to have a huge talented squad and we intend to use all the players throughout the season.”

Heathens visit Rams in Makerere and will bank on Aaron Ofoyrwoth, Paul Epillo and Innocent Gwoktho who have scored two tries each this season.

Mongers and Warriors is the early kickoff in Entebbe while Rhinos visit Hippos at Dam Waters in the other other game.
