Moses Waiswa is excited to have been summoned back to the National team.
The midfielder has been away for a while following an injury that forced him out of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
Talking to the media after the Cranes training on Tuesday at St Mary Stadium, Waiswa said that it feels superb and he is excited and looking at helping Cranes qualifying.
“The feeling is superb because i have really missed playing at home and for the national team. He stated.
“It has been over a year and some months, so am excited to be back on the team to see that I help it qualify.”
Uganda will take on Burkina Faso on Wednesday in the first of two crunch ties that will determine their fate.
For Waiswa who is already in camp and training sees the game on Wednesday is a final.
“I look at Burkina Faso game as a cup final.
“We need to win at home because we won’t count-on the Malawi game so much.”
“The training has been good basing on the fact the that it has been a long time for me away.
“I found the team in the same old way where used to be live like a family so it has been easy for me to bond with them and coaches are friendly and the good life in South Africa has helped me to grow as a footballer.”
Uganda Cranes will play the Stallions of Burkina Faso at St Mary’s Stadium on Wednesday in their quest to reach a third consecutive Afcon finals.
Their last game will be away to Malawi on the weekend.
The Cranes are in second position of group B with 7 point from 4 games just a point below group leaders and 2013 finalist Burtkina Faso.
