The National Basketball League season will tip off on April 17, not April 2 as earlier communicated.

The NBL draft fixture seen by this website shows that the league regular season will be played until June 5.

Unlike the previous seasons, the league has been shortened – played under one leg format – due to Covid19 and international engagements.

Last season was called off days to tip off after Government put a ban on public gatherings.

Seven time defending Champions City Oilers face newcomers and big spenders Namuwongo Blazers.

Betway Power and KIU Titans will also face off in one of the other other mouthwatering ties on the opening weekend.

The league will be played at UCU and KIU courts, per the fixture.

Both UCU teams have been included despite earlier outcry about financial constraints at the Mukono-based University but A1 Challenge and UMU Ravens have not registered to compete in the Women category.
