Gaddafi FC 1-0 Mbale Heroes

Joel Madondo scored the all important goal as Gadaffi FC beat Mbale Heroes 1-0 to get off the mark in their first game of the Big League season.
Madondo who joined the Soldier Boys last year from Wydad Casablanca struck in the 34th minute to open his account for his new side.
To storm the Big League, the Eastern region side beat North Eastern region champions Sansiro 3-0 in a game played at the FUFA technical Centre in Njeru.
Playing at home, Gaddafi had a bright start into the game having more of the possession in the opening minutes with the visitors waiting to pounce on the break.
Before their opener, the home side had several half chances to score but the visitors were resilient.
In the 34th minute, Madondo struck with a nice Volley into the back of the net.
The best chance in the second half, for the home side to double the lead, came at the hour mark but Obele’s effort on goal was saved by goal keeper Hatimu Hilbert.
In the dying minutes of the game, the Visitors looked more aggressive upfront in search for an equaliser but the home side was more composed at the back to see out the victory.
Gaddafi FC is in Group B of the FUFA Big league along with Mbale Heroes, Arua Hills, Calvary FC, Kataka FC, Maroons, Black Powers FC and Paidah Black Angels.
What next for both Teams
In their next games, Gaddafi host Maroons FC on 28th March at Kyabazinga Stadium while Mbale Heroes face Paidha Black Angels away from home.
