Ibrahim Orit will make his first start for the Uganda Cranes senior team when they face Malawi at on Monday in a crucial 2021 AFCON Qualifier of Group B.
The winger who came off the bench against Burkina Faso will be one of four changes made to the team that started last Wednesday at Kitende.
Orit replaces Abdul Lumala in the team after impressing in the goalless draw against the Stallions.
The others include Ronald Mukiibi, Mustapha Kizza and Moses Waiswa who all start at the expense of Halid Lwaliwa, Tadeo Lwanga and Patrick Kaddu. Lwaliwa has been carrying a knock suffered in training.
Lwanga was earlier declared positive for COVID-19 by the Malawi Football Association on Monday morning.
For Kaddu, he did not make the trip after sustaining an injury that forced him off against Burkina Faso.
Uganda who start the day in second spot in the group B standings require just a draw on Monday to seal a spot at next year’s finals.
The Cranes are under the stewardship of Abdallah Mubiru who was put in temporary charge with Johnathan McKinstry currently suspended.
The other group B game will see Burkina Faso face South Sudan in Ouagadougou.
