Busoga United, Kyetume Punished For Breach Of Covid Rules

Uganda Premier league sides Busoga United and Kyetume FC have been punished by the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel for breach of Covid-19 rules.

The FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel opened proceedings against the two sides for allowing fans into the stadium without written authorization from FA and most of them were not wearing face masks.

The games in question are Kyetume FC vs MYDA FC and Busoga United FC vs Kitara FC that were played on 18th March 2021 at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

As a result, both Busoga United FC and Kyetume FC will play their next home games with no fans allowed into the stadium.

Upon the League’s resumption, Busoga United host Onduparaka at the FUFA Technical Centre and are set to play without Fans.

For Kyetume, they will be hosting Police FC on 3rd April at the same venue.

Busoga currently sit in 13th on the table with 14 points, while for Kyetume they are 14th with 12 points after fifteen games played.
