Wakiso Giants have added Alex Gitta Mulibanga to their coaching staff ahead of the start of the second round of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
Gitta joins the Purple Sharks as an assistant to under pressure Douglas Bamweyana.
Tom Ssali, who held the role previously, was asked to step aside after his relationship with Bamweyana deteriorated.
Gitta comes with a bag of experience having coached at Express FC and Masavu in Uganda Premier League.
The Entebbe-based gaffer who also joined Politics has also had stints with Busiro Ssaza and Uganda World Life Authority FC.
Wakiso Giants, 12th with 16 points, ended the first round on a three-game winless run: They were held by UPDF after back-to-back losses against Busoga United and Kitara FC.
They face Mbarara City FC on Friday at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium before Uganda Cup home and away ties against Water FC.
