We want to Close gap at The Top – Bbosa Ahead Of URA Clash

Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa says they want to close the gap at top as the Uganda Premier league resumes.

The Red Eagles have been out of action like the rest of the Uganda Premier league clubs due to the international break.

Upon the league resumption, they host URA FC on Saturday 2nd April at the Betway Muteesa II Stadium in Wankuluku.

In their first meeting this season, George Senkaaba scored the all important goal for the Red Eagles as they overcame the Tax Collectors 1-0 away from home.

Going into this game, Express sit in third on the table, four points adrift of URA and Bbosa says his side is Positive having won their last away fixture before the league break against Police FC.

“In our last game of the first round against Police FC, we managed to get three points away from home. Bbosa noted.

“So we are back at home and we want to improve on our position on the log since we have rectified our mistakes during the league break we have had.

“We have prepared the boys very well so that we can win at home, as well as continue competing for the title.”

The Red Eagles are facing a URA side that has had a good run in the season away from home and are looking at maintaining their leadership at the top.

On this, Bbosa says they (Tax Collectors) have got good players but Express has ambitions of closing the gap at the top.

“We are playing a URA side that has a good technical bench as well as good players.

“We want to close the gap at the top so we need to win our game at home.”

Victory for the Red Eagles against the Tax Collectors will see them close the gap to just two points.

Express are currently in third place on the table with 32 points.
