More Work Needs To Be Done At Onduparaka – Mutyaba

Newly appointed Onduparaka FC head Joseph Mutyaba says that there is a lot that needs to be done at his new side in order to get it back on truck.

Mutyaba was confirmed last Tuesday as Vialli Bainomugisha replacement after the latter left the club by mutual consent.

In his first press briefing as a Caterpillar, Mutyaba said that there are a lot of tactical and technical aspects to be worked on and he gave himself a period of two weeks to take full charge of the situation at Arua based side.

“Yes I will be in charge but I haven’t taken over everything because the shape of the team is still wanting so there is a lot tactical and technical aspects still to work on.” Mutyaba noted.

“We are making sure that we shape the team and each coach has his own way of working so to me, I still have something like two weeks and I believe after those, the team will be in shape even though the schedule is too tight but we shall try to work hard to see that we shape the team.”

The tactician also informed that the situation is so far not bad on his side as the players have been cooperative.

“The situation would have been too difficult but the cooperation of players is trying to ease my work because. They want and are eager to learn and they feel that Onduparaka is their team so they have to raise it back to where it has to be, so the situation will not be so hard.”

The handler, who suffered an early ugly welcome after a 2-0 loss against Busoga in a league game last Wednesday, said that his next game which is against Luwero United in Uganda Cup is in hands of players not him.

“The Luwero United game is about players now not the coach because the first thing am trying to work on now is fitness. So if they get the fitness back and try to move on around, then we will have a win here and in the second leg where am sure that we will qualify to the next stage.”

Onduparaka will on Monday play Luwero United in Uganda Cup round of 32 before their return leg on Friday at Kosovo Kasana. Both encounters are happening next week.

The Caterpillar sit 8th on the league log with 21 points from 16 games and their next league game will be on Tuesday 13th, against Kitara in Arua.
