Jasper Aheebwa: Mbarara City Defender Out For A Month

Mbarara City left back Jasper Aheebwa is set to be out for a month with a knee Injury.

This was confirmed on Monday after a scan was done on his knee.

Aheebwa who featured in Mbarara’s 2-1 win away to Wakiso Giants on Friday, is said to have got a knock in that game played at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakissha.

“Jasper Aheebwa has undergone a scan to his right knee after getting a knock in our previous league game. Read a statement on Club’s Website.

“Jasper will now undergo a month of recovery and rehabilitation. He is expected back early may.”

Aheebwa has been vital at the left flunk for the Livingstone Mbabazi coached side and his services will be missed during his absence.

With the new developments, Aheebwa is set to miss out on the two Uganda Cup fixtures against URA FC as well several others in the league during April.

He now joins Hilary Mukundane and Stephen Othieno who are both suspended for the next three games due to suspension.

The Ankole Lions currently sit eleventh on the Uganda Premier league table with 17 points from 16 games.
