BUL FC vs Black Power FC
Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe
Uganda Premier League side BUL FC will be hoping to become the first team to book a spot in the Uganda Cup round of 16 when they host Black Power at the Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe on Thursday.
The Jinja based side must be full of confidence as they hold a 2-0 lead from the first leg played on Monday.
Deogracious Ojok and Peter Oketch scored the two goals away from home and it will take a miracle of sorts for Black Power to recover.
BUL also heads into this one off a 2-0 win against Kitara FC in their last home game.
Arthur Kyesimira’s side heads into the contest without several first team players.
Aggrey Madou, Ambrose Kirya Richard Wandyaka Kenneth Ssemakula and Martin Aprem are all injured and thus will not take any part.
What they are saying ahead of the game
Arthur Kyesimira, BUL head coach
“We played the first leg with tenacity but the players have recovered and trained very well since.
“We hope for a very good performance tomorrow and win the game comfortably.”
Fredson Gwoto, BUL FC captain
“We have had very good preparations.
“Therefore, we expect good results against Blacks Power.”
For Black Power, they head into this one knowing they have a mountain to climb so as to ensure progress to the next round.
Their form in the Big League suggests they will put up a fight as they have won two of their opening three games so far.
However, it will take something special to overturn the deficit against a side that is clearly better than them.
