Ex-Cranes Midfielder Beaten At FUFA House

Former Uganda Cranes midfielder Sulaiman Mike Mutyaba has been beaten up by security at the Federation of Uganda Football Association offices in Mengo on Friday, April 09.

Mutyaba had come good on his promise of camping at the FUFA headquarters until national team players are paid their arrears on top of the Association proving payment of their monthly salaries that reportedly come from the government.

During his protest, Mutyaba was displaying a placard bearing a message ‘Magogo Must Resign.”

It is understood that Mutyaba was beaten up and bundled onto a Police vehicle after he was ordered to vacate the premises along with a few other youths that had accompanied him.

Mutyaba has for the past few days, started a social media campaign tasking FUFA to avail accountability for the money they receive and also pay football players all the monies that they are owed.

The pressures from Mutyaba forced FUFA President Moses Magogo to make an outrageous statement that the players who played at the just concluded CHAN championships in Cameroon have no right to demand for money after playing what he termed as sh**y football.

Mutyaba is understood to currently be held at the Old Kampala Police station.
