Big League side Proline FC squeezed through to the last 16 of the Uganda Cup despite falling 3-1 to Uganda Premier league side MYDA at King George II Memorial Stadium in Tororo.

Proline who won the first leg 4-1 in Lugogo, survived a red card and kept out one of two late penalties before progressing on 5-4 aggregate victory.

Leading 2-1, MYDA were awarded a penalty in the added minutes but Paul Musamali missed from the spot, a goal that would have brought MYDA back into the game.

Ahmed Saleh and Amos Kirya scored in the 35 and 48th minute respectively as the hosts took steps towards overturning the deficit.

With ten minutes to go, Proline were reduced to ten men after Richard Ajuna was sent off for a foul on Amos Kirya.

In added time, Brian Umony got the needed away goal for the visitors to leave MYDA on brink of extinction.

Moments later, Musamali could have made it three for the home side but he missed from a spot with his effort going wide.

However, it was not over yet, MYDA was awarded another penalty after Nicholas Ssebwato fouled in the forbidden area. And Isaac Osikol calmed his nerves to slot the ball home.

MYDA huffed and puffed for the winner but it was too late. 3-1 it ended in Tororo.
