Uganda Cup: Trio Out As Terrazo And Tiles Visit Maroons In Must Win Encounter

Big league sides Maroons FC and Terrazo and Tiles face off in the Uganda Cup Round of 32 return leg at the Luzira Prisons Ground.

The two sides played out to a one all draw earlier this week in an eventful game played at the Kakyeka stadium.

Maroons Custodian Eric Dahira was the man of the match after saving two penalties in the first leg.

Terrazo and Tiles will play without their trio of Aron Otim , Willber Maseruka and Patrick Waliggo who are all nursing injuries.

On the other hand Maroons have no reported absentees for the game.

Maroons will be banking on their unbeaten run this season so as to eject the Mbarara based side.

Maroons head coach Charles Ayiekoh says they are concentrating on putting away their chances to avoids errors.

“Of course we are more than ready for the game. Ayiekoh told the club media.

“We have been working a lot on our scoring as team has been missing a lot of chances in our previous matches .

“In Mbarara we were meant to score over six goals but unfortunately we missed open chances so that is where we have been concentrating on to avoid similar errors.”
Eager to score goals, Ayiekoh says there will not be many changes from the team that played away in Mbarara but some new additions will be expected.

“We don’t intend to make many changes to the team but also expect some additions upfront to try and score goals against Terrazo and Tiles.” Charles Ayiekoh further added .

A goalless draw and a win will see Maroons advance to the round of 16.

A draw of two goals or more and a win will see Terrazo and Tiles progress to the next round.
