Uganda Cup Sunday
11th April 2021
A brace from Samuel Ssekamatte and Sulaiman Ssebunza’s penalty were enough for Bright Stars to overturn a 1-0 first leg deficit against Paidha Black Angels and reach that last 16 of the Uganda Cup.
The Stars took the day 3-1 at Kavumba with Shaban Farouk scoring the visitors consolation.
After a fine start to the game, the Stars would take a 2-0 lead at the break through Ssebunza and Ssekamatte.
Ssekamatte completed his brace in the second half to all but put the game to bed.
Inside the final 10 minutes, Shaban netted for Paidha but it was too little too late and the Stars held on to progress to the round of 16.
