Uganda Premier League defending Champions Vipers SC have been boosted with the return of Winger Milton Karisa ahead of the Busoga United game at the St Mary’s stadium Kitende.
The Venoms will host Busoga in their 17th game of the 2020/21 league season on Tuesday, April 13.
Karisa sustained a thigh injury on International duty in January after playing just one game for the venoms since he returned to the club from MC Oujda.
Speaking ahead of the game the winger confirmed his return saying he his fully fit for the game against Busoga United.
“I am fully fit for tomorrow’s game and am ready”. It has been a very hard time for me for the last two month because of the injury but I thank God because without him I wouldn’t have been here right now and I feel great and am in good shape for tomorrow’s game”. I feel excited to be back again because it has been a long time since I last kicked the ball so am so excited and I can’t wait for tomorrow.”
The table leaders will host Busoga United in the league after overcoming them in the Uganda Cup 5-2 on aggregate.
Busoga United is yet to defeat Vipers this campaign after also losing 3-5 to the Fred Kajoba coached side in the first round of the league thanks to goals from Goefrey Wasswa, Milton Karisa, Karim Watambala and Paul Mucureezi (brace) at the FUFA Technical Center Njeru, earlier in the season.
Vipers SC sits top of the log with 36 points in 16 matches while Busoga United are 12th on 17 points.
