URA Is The Side We Fear Most – Morley Byekwaso

KCCA FC interim coach Morley Byekwaso says that URA FC is a side they fear most in the Uganda Premier league.

He made those remarks in a press conference held at Lugogo ahead of their clash with the Tax Collectors on Tuesday 13th April at the Arena of Visions in Bombo.

In a game where they need to show character in a bid to close up the gap at the top, Byekwaso was quick to express his worry ahead of the game.

“URA is a very good side, they are an experienced side with good players and coaches.

“It is a team which we fear most since it has beaten us many times. We need to go all out, change a few things, to fight, to possess well and see that we win.”

URA FC are second on the league table with 36 points, two places above fourth-placed KCCA FC who have 30.

Benjamin Nyakoojo and Brian Majwega were on target as URA FC erased Brian Aheebwa’s opener to stun KCCA at Lugogo in the first round.

They won by a similar scoreline, 2-1, when the sides met at Arena of Visions last season.

In fact, KCCA FC has not beaten URA FC in the last four games – Lost three and drawn once.

Byekwaso revealed the team news as well ahead of the titanic clash: “Brian Aheebwa, Juma Balinya Juma, Gift Ali and John Revita won’t feature in about three games ahead.”

Musa Ramathan and Loro Stefano Mazengo are still struggling for fitness and hence they have been doing double sessions.

Byekwaso who replaced Mike Mutebi, added: “I think we are going to have a very big task to beat them, of course we want to win but it’s going to be very hard since they are very physical, know how to attack, possess and how to use the ball.”

“So we are going to face a team which is very experienced but we shall play the way we play to see that we get good results.”

The Kasasiro boys have had less to time for recovery having returned on a Sunday morning from a trip to Mbarara against Nyamityobora in the Uganda Cup.

On this, Byekwaso admits that his worry is fatigue for the players before adding it won’t change anything in the game ahead.

“My worry is fatigue, the team has not recovered so we’ll we are still struggling into that

“But I think it won’t change anything because the game has been scheduled we need to play it we don’t have to get worried of a lot of things, we just need to get focused on the game because if we perform well and get the results,I think we shall be back on the right track.”

He added: “If you are very analytical and look at the three games we are going to play, URA, SC Villa and Mbarara City all those teams are very physical. So you need to pick the right players to answer the questions, so we have to be very intelligent as the technical team to see we pick the players to reflect the right image.”

KCCA and URA FC both marched on to the Uganda Cup round of 16 having eliminated Nyamityobora and Mbarara City respectively.
