Franco Onen scored late as Busoga United worked hard to overcome visitors Police FC 2-1 in a league game at Njeru Technical centre.

The Jinja based side, who were coming at the back of a heavy 4-0 away loss to Vipers SC in their last match, relied on Onen’s late winner to mark the return to wining ways.

Paul Ssekulima scored first, clipping the ball over the Police keeper on 20th minute mark.

However, towards the hour mark, Police, through Herman Waswa equalized to make it 1-1.

The Cops, 3-0 winners against UPDF on Wednesday, failed to hold on till the end allowing Busoga United to double the lead in the added-on minutes thanks to Wani.

The victory takes Busoga United to12th position with 20 points while Police remains in the fourth on 31 points .
