April 17th 2021

UPDF FC rallied from a goal down as they beat Kyetume FC 4-2 in a league game played at the Bombo Military grounds on Saturday.

James Begisa, Kamagu Christopher, Sam Kintu and Alex Kitata were all on the score sheet as the Kefa Kisala coached side as they earned a well deserved home victory.

Kizito Ezra Kaye and substitute Steven Kabuye scored the goals for the Slaughters.

A minute into the game, Kaye gave the visitors a lead to give them hopes of earning a positive result.

However, their lead did not last for long as defender Begisa levelled matters six minutes later before Kamagu doubled the hosts lead moments later.

At the stroke of half time, Kintu made it three for the home side much to the distaste of the visitors.

Forward Kitata then netted the Army Side’s fourth in the second half, putting the game far beyond the visitors.

With 16minutes left on the clock, substitute Kabuye pulled one back for Kyetume but it didn’t affect the final result as UPDF bagged all three points.

The result sees UPDF move to 28 points and sit 7th on the table.

For Kyetume, they suffer their ninth loss in the season and they sit 14th with 13 points from 18 games.
