*Kawempe Muslim 4-0 Kampala Queens

Kawempe Muslim Ladies started this year’ FUFA Women Super League with a convincing 4-0 win over Kampala Queens in a game played at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

Margaret Kunihira, Rhoda Nanziri, Hadijja Nandago and second half substitute Allen Nassazi were all on the scoresheet to ensure a well deserved victory for Kawempe Muslim.

In a game that saw both sides create many goal-scoring opportunities, Kawempe Muslim came out the best side.

Kunihira opened the scoring as early as the fourth minute when she slotted home from inside the area.

In search for an equaliser, Kampala Queen’s Rukia Namubiru and Fauzia Najjemba came close to levelling matters but their efforts went wide.

The best chance for Kampala Queens came in the 62nd minute but substitute Sophia Nakiyingi failed to tap in with just an empty net to score.

Moments later, Nanziri doubled the lead for Kawempe before substitute Nassazi headed home the third putting the game far beyond Kampala Queens reach.

Nandago put the icing on the cake with two minutes left on the clock, tapping in home after she collected from Nalukenge.

Kawempe Muslim returns to action on Tuesday against Uganda Martyrs High School who won 1-0 against Makerere University in their first game.

On the other hand, Kampala Queens will return to action on Wednesday against Uganda Martyrs.
