Kyetume Stage Comeback To Dwarf Wakiso Giants

Friday, April 23
*Vipers SC 0-1 Express
*Kyetume 3-2 Wakiso Giants

Kyetume FC came from a goal down to beat Wakiso Giants in an entertaining StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter at Nakisunga Ssaza grounds in Mukono.

Playing their second league game at Nakisunga since shifting from Njeru, the Slaughters got off to an awful start when they conceded in the 15th minute.

Viane Ssekajugo, returning from a four-game ban, was at the end of George Kaddu’s donkey work to slot home the opener for the Sharks.

The Visitors lead was however short lived when Robert Ssentongo leveled matters from the spot after Nicholas Kasozi was brought down in the box by Simon Namwanja.

Ivan Bogere scored a beautiful backheel, with Joel Mutakubwa beaten, to put the Purple Sharks back in control at the break.

Feni Ali brought the game level before the hour-mark, striking against his former pay masters after receiving neatly from Ssaka Yusuf.

Ssaka, in the 66th minute, strolled through Wakiso defence, before netting what proved to be the winner and send the home fans into wild celebrations.

This is the first win in all competitions for Kyetume against Wakiso after seven meetings.

The loss, is the sixth for Wakiso Giants who are 12th with 20 points while Kyetume move just a point below Wakiso and adrift of safety, in 14th place.
