Najjemba Stars as Kampala Queens overcome Tooro in Women Super League

Fauzia Najjemba was the star of the show as Kampala Queens overcame Tooro Queens in a FUFA Women Super League game played on Friday at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

The skipper bagged a brace on the day to see her side earn a second victory in this year’s Women Super League.

Earlier in the first half, Tooro Queens had taken the lead through Mary Kabuculezi who scored on 23 minutes.

Having failed to score for her side in the opening two games, Najjemba took responsibility.

She levelled matters on 41minutes converting from a spot.

With the game headed for it’s climax, Najjemba struck the second, slotting home past goal keeper Gloria Namakula.

The result sees Kampala Queens earn their second win and head into their final game against Makerere University with six points.

For Tooro Queens they remain with three points and will face Uganda Martyrs Lubaga in their final game on Saturday.
