Preview: Much Anticipation Ahead Of Jinja Derby

Jinja will come to a stand still when Busoga United take a short trip to face cross town rivals BUL FC at Kyabazinga Stadium in the UPL.

Four points separate the two sides, with BUL in ninth with 24 points while Busoga are are 13th, a place above red zone with 20 points.

Busoga United will have their eyes on revenge having lost the first round tie 3-1; Joseph Semujju scored a hat trick for BUL while Jerome Kirya scored a consolation for Busoga who had Anthony Mayanja miss a penalty.

“We are playing Busoga United a derby that we know we are the giants of football in Eastern Uganda and we want to be giants of football in Uganda. it’s for games like this that fans look for,” said BUL coach Arthur Kyesimira as quoted by the club.

“The first game we won 3-1, there were no fans in the stadium, some fans will be allowed in so its games like this that we want to play for our fans.

“We are coming all out to win the game. We know Busoga have been on the run, they lost their last game but it doesn’t deny any other options. We have trained well, we are motivated and passionate and we hope for tomorrow’s win.”

BUL come into this one after edging UPDF 4-3 while Busoga United lost to Kyetume to suffer their 4th loss in five games!
