Ivan Wani goal Hands Busoga United Derby Revenge Over BUL

Busoga United managed to overcome hosts BUL FC in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League derby played at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe.

Ivan Wani scored the only goal of the game, directing his header off George Kalyowa far beyond BUL goalkeeper Sanon Mulabi’s reach at the hour mark.

Busoga United survived early attacks from Busoga United, with goalkeeper Michael Nantamu saving the day.

Nantamu denied Deogracious Ojok before the goalkeeper kept out Simon Peter Okech.

The Visitors saw Wani shoot wide after he was released by Franco Onen, George Kasonko was denies at close range while Jeromy Kirya headed an inch wide.

The victory, is revenge best served for Busoga United who lost the reverse fixture 3-1 in Njeru.

Busoga United who came into the game on the back of a 1-0 loss to Kyetume, move to 12th with 23 points.

The loss is the 10th for BUL FC this season as they remain 10th with 24 points.

What Next – BUL visit SC Villa in Bombo while on April 27 while Busoga United host UPDF FC on the same day.
