Kitegenyi Late Strike Sinks Villa at Kakyeeka

Mbarara City FC beat SC Villa 2-1 in a league game played at the Kakyeeka stadium on Saturday.

Goals from Jude Ssemugabi and Henry Kitegenyi either side of half time ensured victory for Livingston Mbabazi side.

Emmanuel Wasswa scored the lone goal for the Joogos who have now failed to win any of their last four games.

Ssemugabi scored for the hosts inside 10minutes of play to hand them the lead.

Captain Wasswa levelled matters on 54 minutes off a Joseph Nsubuga cross.

Inside the three minutes added-on at the end of 90minutes, Kitegenyi handed Mbarara victory, slotting home after he was set up by Solomon Okwalinga.

Mbarara city FC remain unbeaten since Livingston Mbabazi return at the helm and climb to 9th on the Uganda Premier League table with 25 points.

For Villa, they stay in 6th on the with 33 points garnered from 20 league games.

In their next fixtures, Villa host BUL FC on match-day 21 while Mbarara play away to URA FC.
