On the 21st of April 2021 officially launched a campaign to distribute reflector Jackets to the Boda Boda community in Kampala at Kiira Police football pitch in Kamwokya.

The event was attended by Boda Boda Association leaders, Boda boda riders, the Uganda Police and Melbet officials. This effort will see distribute 10,000 reflector jackets evenly in all the 5 divisions of Kampala over a period of 2 months following the Ministry of Health standard operations guidelines. 

This initiative has been made by to give back to the community at large especially the Boda Boda community which includes Boda Boda users, Boda Boda riders and Boda Boda passengers. 

Sports betting is a common activity and a form of sports entertainment amongst Boda Boda riders, so melbet as a company has decided to give back to them, to show their support to their loyal customers.

ASP Kira Road Police station, Afande Baboineki Tomas told the riders present “Work hard and save, when you have extra money you can use it to play during your free time.” Mawejje Frank Chairman of Smart Boda Kawempe stated, “We Boda Boda, riders are greatly benefiting from not only inform of the reflectors but also from the program which is an online revenue share affiliate system where users benefit from referring new customers to the melbet site and mobile application.”
