Anaku Strikes KCCA Past Onduparaka

Striker Sadat Anaku scored the only goal as KCCA FC beat Onduparaka to pick maximum points at Green Light Stadium in Arua.

Anaku ferociously fired into the roof from inside the box after a neat low touch from Steven Sserwadda off Herbert Achai’s cross from the left flank.

Anaku’s goal in the 78th minute, is the seventh this season for the KCCA FC youngster.

The Caterpillars will have Michael Kagiri to thank after the goalkeeper pulled off some good saves including denying Charles Lwanga in the 82nd minute.

Kagiri also parried out Anaku’s effort in the 70th minute.

KCCA had good chances and would have scored earlier but Anaku and Sserwadda both fired over.

Onduparaka had kept toe-to-toe with the visitors and looked a threat going forward. Kabon Livin was denied by Charles Lukwago, with the goalkeeper pushing the effort on the goal frame.

He also beat his mark in the second half before driving his shot just an inch wide.

This is the third loss in a row for Onduparaka who earlier lost to Wakiso Giants and MYDA FC.

KCCA FC return to winning ways having fired blanks with Mbarara City in their previous match.

KCCA, displace Police FC im fourth, level on 37 points with the Peace Keepers but with a superior goal difference.

Onduparaka slips to 11th with 24 points, having suffered 10th loss of the season.

What Next – Onduparaka visit Express at Betway Muteesa II stadium in Wankulukuku while KCCA FC host Bright Stars FC on April 29.
