Betway KOBs returned to their best with an emphatic win over Plascon Mongers in a Nile Special Stout Rugby League game on Saturday at House of Payne in Entebbe.

The KOBs, after a hard fought win against Jinja Hippos, were in cruise control this time as they managed to secure a bonus point victory.

Joseph Aredo was in staring role with his boot, sending seven conversions through the H before adding a penalty to his name.

Robert Aziku scored a brace in a nine-try performance while youngster Trevor Maina also contributed to the cause with his first Try for the side.

Brian Odong, Byron Oketayot, Daudi Ssemwami Pius Ogena, Raymond Mukwaya and Saul Kivumbi all crushed over.

Making his debut off the bench, Robert Masendi made two conversions on the day as the KOBs strolled through with ease.

Edgar Kairu and Brian Kamanyire scored two penalties each but the efforts were not enough to rescue Mongers who were the second best on the day.

Elsewhere, Scott Oluoch, Aziz Khan, Norbert Okeny and Arthur Mukama scored a Try each as Heathens beat Jinja Hippos at Dam Waters.

At Kings park in Bweyogerere, Pirates were 54-00 winners over Rams with Raymond Emanzi and Desire Ayera among Try scorers.

With two games to go, Betway KOBs remain on top of the 10-team log with 33 points, Pirates and Heathens follow with 30 and 29 points respectively.
