April 27th April

SC Villa scored late in the game as they drew 1-1 with BUL FC in a Uganda Premier League game played at the Bombo Military Grounds.

Substitute Mohammed Nsereko levelled matters in stoppage time to see his side earn a point at home.

Musa Esenu had earlier given the visitors the lead in the 69th minute.

In the early exchanges, the Joggos who were donning their newly unveiled kit, looked the better side having most of the possession but failed to turn it into good scoring chances.

Against the run of play, BUL threatened first on 22 minutes with Esenu’s free header saved by goal keeper Saidi Keni.

Having missed earlier, Esenu broke the deadlock in the 69th minute to put the visitors into the lead.

With the game heading to it’s climax, Nsereko who came off the bench struck in stoppage time to salvage a point for his Villa.

Villa are now winless in their last five league games (D3 L2) and they remain in the seventh place on 31 points.

For BUL, they move to the 9th place with 25 points after Mbarara City lost to URA 2-0 on Tuesday.

In their next assignments, SC Villa host Soltilo Bright Stars in Bombo while BUL host Mbarara City at the Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe.
