City Oilers handed Betway Power their fourth straight loss after the five-time winners suffered a second half collapse.
Leading by four points at the break, Power failed to get things going later as they managed only 11 points in the second half to lose a 17-point game in one of the five NBL matchups at UCU Court in Mukono.
Power looked to have all answers to Oilers questions in the opening exchanges and they took a slender 22-21 lead after the first quarter.
They won the second quarter 18-15 to open up a 40-36 lead at the long break.
However, Power never came back from the slumber. Managing just seven points in the third, and just four in the last quarter as Oilers took advantage of the situation to strangle their rivals.
Ben Komakech and Landry Ndikumana scored nine points each, while Caesar Kizito added eight to hand Oilers a deserved win.
For Power, Salim Kisilu scored a game high 18 points and 14 rebounds while Stephen Wundi contributed 14 in a losing effort.
Its an awful start for Power but there was no way they could have stopped Oilers after shooting 21 for 68 from the field.
Despite the victory, Oilers were far from their best, turning the ball 24 times and shooting 24% from the three-point range.
Power will seek to make amends when they face UPDF Tomahawks on May 15.
