No Claire Lamunu, no problem as KCCA Leopards managed to overcome Nkumba Lady Marines in an early kickoff of the NBL at UCU court in Mukono.

Lamunu is serving a two-game ban after she was fielded by her club without a letter of clearance in their opener with JKL Lady Dolphins in a game they won 58-55.

Consequently, KCCA Leopards had that win against JKL overturned for violation of article 101 of FUBA rules and regulations on player eligibility.

The Leopards got off the blocks to lead 14-9 in the first quarter and the side never looked back.

Catherine Haruri and Fina Busingye scored 11 and 9 points respectively in a losing cause for the University team that shot 17-of-59 from the field and managed just 1-11 from the three-point range.

This is the second loss for Nkumba from as many games after they fell 50-69 to KIU Rangers on April 17.

Lamunu will miss KCCA game on Sunday against Nabisunsa as she will be completing a two-game ban but will be back in action when KCCA face on May 9.
