Former KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi has reportedly landed a lucrative job with Rwandan club Kiyovu SC.
The nitty-gritty details of the deal are still faint but local Website Football 256 hinted that the eccentric gaffer is expected to pocket between US $ 5,000 and US$10,000 in remunerations.
It’s further reported that Mutebi, who will take over from coach Olivier Karekezi, carried out COVID-19 tests on Monday. He is expected to take him his own backroom staff.
Karekezi, the former Rwandan international player was fired by the club on Sunday for allegedly failing to adhere to the club’s Covid-19 guidelines.
Following his acrimonious departure form KCCA FC in March, Mutebi has often said that he has taken the proverbial sabbatical from football management.
However, he has been much vaunted for the Uganda Cranes hot seat since the departure of coach Johnath Mcknistry as national team head coach.
At Kiyovu , Mutebi is has been earmarked by the Rwandan club as the man who will change around the fortunes of the side.
