The Federation of Uganda Football Association has confirmed the venue for this year’s 47th edition of the Uganda Cup final.
During the 24th FUFA EXCOM Meeting Held On 30th April, 2021, the Executive committee confirmed Masindi stadium in Kitara region as the venue for the Uganda cup finals 47th edition of the 2020/2021 season.
The Uganda cup is Uganda’s main national cup competition in football.
This annual competition is open for member clubs of FUFA, the tournament was founded in 1971 with Coffee United the maiden first winners of the tournament after edging past Simba SC 2-1.
Proline FC are the defending Champions after overcoming Bright Stars in the shoot outs while Express and KCCA are the most successful clubs with 10 titles apiece.
Uganda Cup returned after the competition was declared null and void last year. This year’s fixtures started at the Round of 32 contested by Uganda Premier League and FUFA Big League clubs only.
Kansai Plascon joined Stanbic Bank as the tournament sponsors in two years sponsorship deal.
The winner will get sh50m and represent at the CAF Confederation Cup, the runner up will walk away with shs.20m while semi finalists will be given shs.12m, Quarter finalists will bank shs.6m as those who will bow out from Round of 16 and 32 will take home shs.3m and shs.1.5m respectively.
