Uganda Cup: Ssekajugo Scores Late Equalizer As Wakiso Giants Reach Quarter Finals

Forward Viane Ssekajugo scored a last minute equalizer as Wakiso Giants FC eliminated Big League side Tooro United from the Uganda Cup on Tuesday.

Forward Eric Akol scored first for the host at the start of second half before Joshua Lubwama levelled matters just after the hour mark.

Marvin Oshaba restored Tooro United’s lead from the penalty spot with just five minutes to play.

Ssekajugo then ensured the game ended in a draw as he netted inside two minutes of three that were added on at the end of the 90.

Wakiso Giants now advance to the Uganda Cup quarter finals 7-3 on aggregate having won the first leg 5-1.

The purple sharks join Vipers SC, SC Villa , Express who have already booked their quarter final slots.

The 47th Uganda Cup final will be played at the Masindi Stadium in Kitara Region.

Wakiso Giants now shift attention to the Uganda premier league where they welcome UPDF at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Friday 7th.
