Arua Hill’s Mbalangu Anticipates Tough Big League Second Round

Arua Hill SC head coach Hussein Mbalangu anticipates a tough second round in the FUFA Big League.

Mbalangu made the re-marks after his side’s second training session ahead of the Big League resumption.

Speaking to the club’s media, he noted that once you lose a game in the second round, the chance is gone.

“The second round is going to be very tough. Mbalangu said.

“Remember when playing in the first round, even if you lose you know there is a chance to amend in the second round but once you lose in the second round, the chance is gone and it is not coming back.”

After winning four and drawing three of their first round games, Arua Hill is still unbeaten in the Elgon group.

Mbalangu says they will be more committed for second round and play every game as if it is the last because they can’t risk to drop any points.

“We shall be more serious and double our efforts in preparing for the second round because we will be playing every game as a final.

“It (second round) will be something else because you don’t want to drop any points if you want to top the group and have direct qualification.”

Arua Hill SC sits top of the Elgon group with 15 points in 7 first round matches.

Their 3 draws came against Maroons, Mbale Heroes and Gaddafi FC.

They have gone on to collect maximum points against Black Power FC, Kataka FC, West Nile rivals Calvary FC and Paidha Black Angels.

The winners of each of the two Big League groups (Elgon and Rwenzori) are directly promoted to the Uganda Premier League while second and third go into a play off to determine the third team that is elevated to the top tier.
