BUL FC and Mbarara City FC played out a one all draw in a Uganda premier league game that was halted by heavy downpour and then re-started the following day at the Kyabazinga Stadium.

The game that was level at 1-1 before it was stopped on Saturday, did not have any other goals in the final 30 minutes played on Sunday.

Jude Ssemugabi had handed the visitors the lead on 20 minutes, pouncing onto a lose ball in the area after Innocent Wafula cross was deflected by Walter Ochora.

Mbarara City were forced to an early substitution as John Adriko was stretched off for Bebe Swalik Ssegujja in the 36th minute.

Forward Richard Wandyaka levelled matters with a minute to half time, heading-in from a well delivered Robert Mukongotya cross.

When the teams took to the pitch again, on Sunday, they clearly lacked the moment and drive to search for a winner and had to settle for a draw in the end.

This was Alex Isabirye’s second game as BUL coach after winning the first, 2-1 in the Uganda Cup against Kigezi home Boys.

BUL FC is now 10th on the log with 25 points while Mbarara City are 11th with the same number of points.

In their next fixtures, BUL FC take a long trip to play Kitara FC while Mbarara city visit Soltilo Bright Stars.
