Onduparaka 1-0 SC Villa
Green Light Stadium, Arua
Onduparaka FC Forward Living Kabon scored the all important goal as his side beat SC Villa 1-0 in a League game played at the Green Light Stadium in Arua.
Kabon struck at the stroke of half time to see that his side earned maximum points and also return to winning ways.
Returning from suspension, Kabon was given the node to start upfront and he repaid his coach-Julius Mutyaba’s faith in the best fashion.
Inside the three minutes added onto the first half, Kabon ran through on goal, rounded Villa goalkeeper Saidi Keni before slotting in an empty net.
In a game that saw a few chances created by both sides, Kabon’s first half strike remained the only difference until the final whistle.
The Caterpillars now register their first victory against the Joggos this season having lost twice and drawn the other of their first three meetings.
Victory sees Onduparaka move to 10th place with 27 points after 23 games.
For Villa, they drop to 8th on the log and they also remain winless in their last six league games having lost three and drawn as many in that period.
Next up for Onduparaka is a clash against Mbarara City away from home at Kakyeka Stadium while Villa host Vipers SC at Bombo Military Barracks grounds.
