Police, KCCA Share Spoils At Lugogo

Uganda Police FC and KCCA FC played out a goalless draw in a Uganda Premier League game played at the Omondi Stadium in Lugogo on Wednesday.

It was the second stalemate between the two sides having drawn 1-1 earlier in the season.

Police FC were forced to an early substitution after Ruben Kimera was stretched off for Eric Ssenjobe in the first half.

Gift Ali came close to putting visitors in the lead but his strike went a few inches wide.

Abdallah Mubiru was forced into a second substitution just before the start of the second half with Frank Tmwesigye coming off and replaced by Muwadda Mawejje.

Peter Magambo saw header sail over the bar off Julius Poloto’s free kick as KCCA FC piled pressure on Police FC defence in the second half.

Ben Ocen would have put Police FC in the lead close to the final whistle only to be denied by Peter Magambo after Johnson Odongo set him up.

After match day 23, both teams are tied on 38 points with KCCA in 4th on the log while Police stay in 5th.

In their next league fixtures, Police FC play away to URA FC while KCCA FC host Kyetume FC.
