-Paidha Black Angels 1-0 Maroons

Arua Hill SC maintained their unbeaten start to the Big League thanks to a 1-1 draw away to Blacks Power FC on Sunday.

Alfred Leku put the visitors in front in the 64th minute before Blacks Power levelled the matters through their top scorer Michael Siwu with 6 minutes to the end of normal time.

Earlier, Blacks Power had come close to breaking the deadlock but James Okiror’s attempt couldn’t beat goalkeeper Richard Anyama.

Siwu also threatened in the opening half only for his tame effort to head straight at Anyama.

Arua too had sniffs on goal but Rashid Agau shot wide before Dan Bilikwalira’s speculative effort was dealt with by Emmanuel Odong in the Black Power goal.

Arua who have been outstanding in their maiden Big League campaign continued to press and were rewarded, mid-way through the second half with Leku heading home a Mujahid Baden cross.

As the visitors looked to be headed for yet another victory, Siwu levelled matters on 84 minutes to ensure a share of the spoils.

The draw means Blacks Power have now collected 13 points and sit in 3rd place after eight matches.

For Arua Hill, they still sit top of the Elgon group with 16 points.

In their next fixtures, Blacks Power welcome Calvary FC at the Emokori stadium on Thursday 20th May while Arua Hill will play away to Kataka FC at the Mbale Municipal stadium the day before.
