Preview – KCCA Out To Compile UPDF Misery
KCAA FC will be hoping for a second successive victory when they take on UPDF FC at the Bombo Military Barracks Stadium on Wednesday.
The Kasasiros are fresh from victory over Kyetume FC on Sunday and will be confident they will register all the points.
The win on Sunday was their first in four league games and they will hope to build on it in a bid to finish the season strong.
Winning the league title is not going happen but Morley Byekwaso will want to see his side build necessary momentum that they can use to challenge for honours next season.
“I am a bit proud of the improvement of the team. Said Byekwaso ahead of the game.
“You can see my players are trying to stabilize.
“The character that I want to see is building up slowly but steadily.
The depth in squad is good right now.”
For UPDF, they are desperate to build any sort of momentum as the season approaches it’s close.
They started well and sat up the table after 8 games but all that has flown out of the window.
Kefa Kisala’s side start the day in 8th with 33 points from 24 games and are closer to the drop zone than they are to the top.
Currently, they are on a four game winless run (D2 L2) and are coming off a 1-0 loss to Express FC last time out.
This will be the third meeting between the two sides since September 2017.
The previous two match-ups have produced two victories for KCCA and a draw.
Both of those victories have come at Lugogo with the only fixture at Bombo ending 1-1.
