Barely a day after Maroons and Charles Ayeikho parted ways, the Prison side beat Gaddafi FC to register their first victory in 7 competitive outings.

Bronson Nsubuga and Fred Amaku were both on target as Maroons completed a league double over Gaddafi FC in a Big League game played at the Luzira prisons Grounds.

Nsubuga gave hosts the lead inside two minutes of play, tapping in from a rebound after goalkeeper Muhammad Didi dealt with Amaku’s initial effort.

Nine minutes later, Amaku doubled Maroons lead scoring from close range after he was set-up by Nsubuga.

With five minutes off the hour mark, Maroons were reduced to 10men after Musa Ssali was shown a second yellow.

Visitors Gaddafi were also reduced to 10 men in additional time with defender Naziru Sserwadda sent off.

Maroons FC are now sixth on the Elgon group table with 10 points, the same as Calvary in the seventh

For Gaddafi, they stay third with 16 points from nine games.

In their next fixtures, Maroons play away to Arua Hill SC while Gaddafi host Kataka FC
