Balinya and Gift Ali were also on target to ensure Victory for Morely Byekwaso’s side at Omondi stadium, Lugogo.

Ibrahim Ekellot scored for Busoga united but his strike proved just a consolation for the relegation-threatened side.

The Visitors almost drew first blood when Isma Mugulusi tested Charles Lukwago but the custodian was equal to the effort.

Balinya set the tone with a well taken free kick just outside the box after a foul on Peter Magambo to give goalkeeper Michael Nantamu no chance in goal.

Lwanga doubled KCCA FC lead in the 28th minute, poking in from Steven Sserwadda’s delivery.

Four minutes later, Ibrahim Ekellot gave Busoga United hope to fight back for their relegation survival hopes when he put the ball in the back of Lukwago’s net.

Lwanga thought he had extended the hosts lead only to be denied by George Kasonko who made a timely clearance off the line.

With 12 minutes to the final whistle, Gift Ali got his name on the score sheet for the first time since joining KCCA FC from the penalty mark after Abubaker Otwao handball in the box.

After 26 league games, KCCA FC stay 4th on the Uganda Premier League table with 45 points.

For Busoga United, they stay 13th with just 26 points from 26 leagues games played, just three points above the drop zone.

In their next fixture, KCCA FC play away to Kitara fc after a double header against Express FC in Uganda Cup.
