We Will Work On Our Mistakes Against Tanzania – Mutyaba

Sand Cranes assistant coach Bashir Mutyaba says the team will work on were they went wrong against Senegla so as to progress to the next round of the Africa Cup of nations beach soccer tournament.

He made these remarks after Uganda lost 5-1 loss to Senegal at Saly Beach soccer stadium in Senegal, on Sunday.

Hosts Senegal are the defending Champions of this tournament and they have played in the FIFA Beach soccer world cup seven times and Mutyaba admitted Uganda lost to a good team.

“We lost the game today Against Senegal. They are one of the experienced teams, 7 times Champions of this tournament, they have vast experience in this game and they have been in the world cup for several years.” Mutyaba said.

Having lost their opening match at their maiden appearance at the tournament, the Mutyaba says they have picked lessons and are going to make use of their strength in the next game.

“We have learnt a lot in this game and we’ve also had some strength as well. We are going to capitalize on the strength going forward.”

Sand Cranes next assignment is a must win against neighbours Tanzania on Monday.

Mutyaba noted that they will work on the mistakes they made against Senegal so as to ensure they get a good result on Monday.

“Tomorrow (Monday) we are going to play against Tanzania and also work on our mistakes so that we get a good result in the game. Perhaps that will help us quality to the next round.”

Uganda is in Group A alongside hosts Senegal and Tanzania after DR Congo withdrew from the tournament.

The top two will progress to the knock-out stages of the competition.
