Wakiso Hills SC and Lango Queens played out to a goalless draw in their opening group D game of the FUFA Women Elite League in Njeru.

In a game of limited scoring opportunities, both sides looked blunt on the day and it wasn’t a surprise as neither found the back of the net after 90 minutes.

Despite being dominant on the day, Wakiso Hills could not get one past a resilient Lango defence.

Faith Namuddu and Sylvia Namiwanda had chances to score for the Antelopes but failed to rattle the back of the net.

At the end of the final whistle, both sides settled for a point.

In their second games, Wakiso Hills face She Maroons on Wednesday while Lango Queens are up against Echos WFC on the same day.

Important to note that, like the concluded FUFA Women Super League, the Women Elite league is also played in a tournament format.

At the end of the season, the top three teams will get promoted to the FUFA Women Super League.
