KIU Titans franchise player Faisal Aden proved once again that he is the league’s clutch king.

Aden helped his side erase a 7-point deficit when he flipped the switch down the stretch as KIU Titans survived a bad shooting morning to overcome resillient Falcons.

The former NBA Development League player, caught a hot hand and scored 12 of his joint game high 16 points in the last quarter.

He scored four threes, including a near-buzzer beater, after going cold (0-7) in the first three quarters from three-point range.

Trailing by three points going into the last quarter, Falcons staged a 13-3 run to overturn the deficit and take a 7-point lead (58-51) with 5:12 on the clock.

Aden started the late rally with a corner three, Ssentongo pegged them back with a jumper and later made both shots from the free-throw line.

Balungu laid up to make it a 6-point deficit.

Aden scored two consecutive threes to tie the game, 62-62.

He drilled in what proved to be the game winning shot in style. After patiently running some time off the clock, he waited on the last second to maneuver past two encroaching defenders before knocking down a three to put Titans up by five with just a second on the clock.

Falcons called a time out, and on the ensuing possession, Trevor Murongani saw his shot rim out.

Peter Obleng scored 11 while Ariel Okall who was taken off with an injury in the last minute of the game, picked 11 rebounds as KIU Titans wobbled across the line.

Falcons had Brian Ssentongo (16), Arthur Wanyoto (15) and Gerard Ayiko (12) combine for 43 of the team’s 62 points in the losing effort.
