She Maroons became the four and final team to reach the semi finals of the FUFA Women Elite League following a comfortable 3-1 victory over Ajax Queens on Sunday.

First half goals from Millicent Namwembe, who scored a brace and Anitah Babirye were just enough to see the Prison Warders through.

She Maroons started brightly and they took a second minute lead through Namwembe.

Fives minutes later, Babirye doubled her side’s lead off a long-range effort the riffled into the back of the net.

The third came on 13 minutes with Namwembe slotting calmly home off a pass from Babirye.

Heading into the break with a three-goal caution, it was just a matter of seeing out the result for Maroons.

Mid-way through the second half, substitute Najobe pulled one back for Ajax Queens but it was just a consolation in the end.

She Maroons now join Wakiso Hills, Bunyaruguru Girls and Rines WFC who had already sealed their spots in the semi finals.

For Namwembe, who grabbed a brace on the day, she is now the outright top scorer of the tournament with five goals.

She Maroons will face Wakiso Hills WFC in the semi finals. Wakiso took care of Amuria High School 1-0 earlier in the morning.

The semis will kick-off of Tuesday with the winners storming the finals that will be played later in the week.
