Victoria University Joins Ugandan Handball

The Uganda Handball Federation on Thursday, May 28 welcomed Victoria University to the Handball family.

The development was announced during a visit by the Federation Executives headed by the UHF president Sheila A Richardson, to the Victoria University main campus.

The president handed over some handball equipment to the Dean of students Ms. Flavia Oketcho together with the Head of Sports Mr. Sebuliba Patrick.

Victoria University joins other higher institutions of learning like Ndejje University, Makerere University, Nkumba University, Kyambogo University and Mbarara University School of Science and Technology (MUST) as Universities that have embraced the sport.

They also join clubs like Prisons Spears HC, UPDF Army HC, Police HC, Evergreen HC, Mukono Lions and Kyengeza HC.

This all comes after the Federation announced the inaugural Handball Champions League that will kick-off on Saturday, 5th June at the Bombo Barracks Military Grounds and Ndejje University Grounds.

UPDF Army are the most successful club in the Handball league.
